Proud nurse and comedian Nurse John turned his real-life experiences into hilarious skits to give a voice to health workers and frontliners. This August, he toured Australia for his first-ever live comedy show, ‘The Short-Staffed Tour'.

John Dela Cruz, better known as Nurse John, hails from Bulacan and Montreal, Canada, and has been based in the US since 2024 to pursue a career in comedy. Before stepping into the spotlight, he worked for many years as a nurse and most recently as a nursing clinical instructor.

With over 12 million followers on TikTok and Instagram, he first rose to fame during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He credits much of his journey to the influence of his mother, an OFW, and to his grandparents who lovingly raised him in the Philippines for many years.
