Pope Softens Stance on Divorce But Not Gay Marriage

The comments come in a much anticipated exhortation on how the Catholic church should treat the modern family.

 

He's urged leaders to be more compassionate towards those who are divorced and remarried but firmly restated the church's position against same-sex marriage.
