Sister Fox, 71, was arrested on the 16th of April and detained for 22 hours for purportedly being involved in partisan political protests.
She was subsequently ordered to leave the Philippines by the 25th of May, but the Justice Department has announced a reprieve pending a review of her case.
Sister Fox said she was relieved of the decision but has vowed to continue her mission of helping the poor.
