Stranded Aussies feel 'abandoned', Senate committee hears

Some of the tens of thousands of Australians who are stranded overseas have told a Senate committee they feel abandoned and betrayed by the federal government.


More than 36,000 Australians are registered with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the number of Australians classified as vulnerable has doubled to 8,000.
