Over a thousand police have been recruited to 36 Melbourne suburbs that have gone back into coronavirus lockdowns.

Highlights
  • Stage three restrictions are being re-imposed in 36 areas including Kings Park, Watergardens, Broadmeadows, Fawkner and Ascot.
  • Residents must follow stay-at-home orders until at least the 29th of July.
  • People are unable to leave the house except for four reasons: work or school, daily exercise, care or care-giving, or to get food and other essentials.
The heavy law and order presence comes as the Victorian government takes extreme measures to subdue dozens of COVID-19 outbreaks.
