Victorians to get free public transport this April amid rising fuel prices

In Victoria, trains, trams, and buses will be free for everyone from Tuesday, March 31, throughout April as temporary support for everyday expenses in the state.

Free public transport is also available in Tasmania amid rising fuel prices.
In Victoria, passengers will not need to “tap on”.
The premiers say the measures aim to provide relief to people facing higher daily costs.
