Wages growth in Australia remains stagnant

Wages growth in Australia remains stagnant with the latest figures showing workers receive an annual pay increase averaging 2-point-3 per cent.


The Bureau of Statistics Wage Price Index [[WPI]] increased by zero-point-5 [[0.5]] per cent during the first three months of the year.   

The news that wages growth remains historically low drew some opposing perspectives during the election campaigning.
