What do older Australians want from this year's federal budget?

The federal budget is almost upon us.


Brought forward a month to make way for an election in May, it will be packed with policies the government hopes will swing the poll its way.

To get a sense of what senior voters will be looking for in the budget, SBS visited the marginal Victorian seat of Corangamite  where the Liberal M-P's hold on power balances on a knife's edge.

Labor's policy to abolish refundable franking credits if it is elected has retirees in the constituency considering their financial security.
