Drawn by job opportunities and family reunification, the quieter lifestyle offers a new way of living away from the urban hustle.

According to the 2021 Census, approximately 1,600 Toowoomba residents were born in the Philippines, highlighting the city’s growing Filipino community. However, newcomers face unique challenges, including adjusting to unfamiliar local accents, quieter weekends, and the search for traditional Filipino flavours.
