WorkSafe Victoria launches education campaign for multicultural communities

WorkSafe Victoria has launched its biggest education campaign for multicultural communities in a bid to prevent major accidents in workplaces.

• The new campaign is aimed at educating migrant and non-English speaking workers about their rights in the workplace.
• In 2020, 65 people died as a result of workplace-related injury or disease in Victoria
• More than 280 workers have already contacted WorkSafe's interpreter service to seek health and safety advice in their own language

Key safety messages have been translated into 19 different languages
