Nagbigay ang Australya ng $1 million-worth ng hospital at personal protective equipment upang suportahan qng COVID-19 response ng Armed Forces of the Philippines' (AFP).
Mapupunta ang tulong na ito sa 30-bed expansion ng Victoriano Luna Medical Center - AFP Medical Center infectious disease ward.
Ayon sa Australian Ambassador to the Philippines na si Steven J. Robinson AO, “What better way to invoke the spirit of mateship and bayanihan between our countries, than by supporting the health and welfare of AFP members, who are carrying out such a challenging role for the people of the Philippines.”
Ibinahgi rin ni Secretary of National Defense Delfin N. Lorenzana ang kanyang pasasalamat sa tulong.
Ayon kay Secretary Delfin, "Now, more than ever, we need to increase the capacities of our hospitals to combat the virus."
