'Outdated rhetoric': Grand Mufti ng Australya sinagot si Fraser Anning

Nagbigay ng pahayag ang top Muslim cleric ng Australya na si Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammed at nagsabing ang panawagan ni Senador Francis Anning ng Katter Australia Party na pigilan ang imigrasyon ng Muslim ay "racist at reckless," matapos ang talumpati ng senador sa Parliamento.

Ang Grand Mufti ng Australya  na si Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammed ay nagsabing ang panawagan ni Senador Francis Anning na pigilan ang imigrasyon ng Muslim ay "racist at reckless". 

Sinabi nito sa SBS Arabic 24, "My job is to de-escalate a situation and not to escalate it. But if Senator Anning wants to discuss terrorism, I can show him the statistics about non-Muslim terrorism."

"[Senator Anning] got into politics recklessly, and he is not equipped with facts about the role of the Muslim community in Australia," dagdag pa nito.

"I respect the voters who chose the senator and respect their free will, but I advise the senator to work in another field because his rhetoric is really outdated."

Binatikos din ng Lebanese Muslim Association ang mga komento ng Senador at nagsabing "[It is] deliberately inflammatory and deeply offensive".

"Senator Anning’s callous attack on the Australian Muslim community must be called out for what it is: systemic racist bigotry," sinabi ng isang tagapagsalita.
