Nitong nakaraang linggo, naganunsyo ang SBS na ipapalabas nito ang mga laro sa FIFA World Cup group stage matapos magkaroon ng technical problems ang users ng Optus stream.
Nakuha ng Optus ang rights sa lahat ng 64 na laro sa World Cup noong Mayo.
Sinabi ni Optus CEO Allen Lew na ang higanteng telekomunikasyon ay "putting football fans first" sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na pakikipagtulungan sa SBS sa pag-broadcast ng mga laro sa World Cup.
"Our customers and viewers have been the priority in our decision making and that's why we have provided several ways to watch the matches, offered refunds and introduced a range of measures to address the technical issues experienced by some Optus Sport viewers," sinabi niya sa isang pahayag.
