Daan-daang Pinoy at ibang lahi ang nagtipon sa Western Event Lawn Esplanade sa Cairns para sa kauna-unahang Philippine Barrio Fiesta, tampok ang parada, kompetisyon, cultural showcases at masasarap na pagkaing Pinoy.

• Pinangunahan ng Philippine Cultural Society of Cairns Inc. at suportado ng Cairns Regional Council ang event, na dinaluhan ni Mayor Amy Eden at council staff.
• Tampok ang parada ng Miss Charity at Little Miss Charity candidates, cultural fashion ramp at food stalls ng mga lokal na Pinoy food business owners.
• Cultural exhibits, arts and crafts, at live performances mula sa local Pinoy artists ang nagpasaya sa gabi.
