Naidoc Week

"My story is unique because I think it's truth-telling and it's time to put it out there with confidence and be proud of what the story is about." Source: SBS Filipino/A Violata

Treaty. Truth.? Para sa isang ipinagmamalaki na babaeng Kamilaroi na si Aunty Beryl Van-Oploo, "It shouldn't be our fight. It should be that we just have to respect one another and make it happen."

"We (Aboriginals) have a voice. Treaty should have happened 40 years ago and it would be a little different today but it will continue to go and maybe one day, maybe not in my lifetime but in the next generation's lifetime it will happen for them," dagdag ni Aunty Beryl.
