Binuo ng The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ang kauna-unahang hybrid electric train, sa pakikipagtulungan sa Philippine National Railways (PNR) layunin nitong maibsan ang traffic sa mga naglalakbay mula Calamba to Alabang. Hindi lamang mapapabilis ang biyahe ito'y mas environmentally friendly pa. Narito ang panayam kay Pablo Acuin ng DOST.
