Nanawagan si Queensland Premier Anastacia Palaszczuk sa gobyernong pampederal na maging mas responsable sa mga international quarantine.

  • Maari nang tumanggap ng hanggang tatlumpung bisita ang mga Sydneysiders at hanggang limampung katao naman para sa mga outdoor gathering at mas maraming bisita sa mga kasal
  • Nasa 37,000 na mga Australyano pa rin ang stranded sa ibang bansa
  • Nag-ease na ang mga border restriction na pinataw ng Queensland, South Australia at Victoria laban sa Greater Sydney
Aniya, bagam't naging epektibo naman ang hotel quarantine ng state, panahon na para sa isang mas naaalinsunod na international quarantine plan.

"We are not out of the woods. We do not know how long this global pandemic will continue. And we are seeing alarming rates overseas]. And we will continue to be vigilant. We will continue to monitor what is happening overseas. And that is why we need the best defence, and that is of course our hotel quarantine."

Umaaray naman ang mga Australyanong stranded sa Europe, matapos ipinagbawal ng UK ang mga flight mula sa UAE.

Pagbahagi ni health minister Greg Hunt, payag silang dagdagan ang mga flights para mas maraming australyano pa ang makauwi sa bansa.
