Anti-mandate protesters gather as parliament reconvenes

The protests were timed to coincide with the resumption of federal parliament on Tuesday and follow the Convoy to Canberra protest in the nation's capital last week. Federal Aged Care Minister Richard Colbeck has resisted calls to resign from the frontbench, following a large number of COVID-19 deaths in residential aged care facilities.  The first shipment of Novavax has touched down in Australia from Singapore.  The shipment contains the first three million doses of the vaccine that will be administered from February 21st.
