Australia considers joining diplomatic boycott of Beijing Olympics

Pressure is building for Australia to join in a diplomatic boycott of next year's Winter Olympics in China, after the United States announced they will not be sending any government officials to the Beijing Games.

The Olympic Games - a sporting showcase meant to unite the world. But now, it's the stage of a widening political rift between two powerful adversaries.  White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki  has announced the United States' boycott of China's Beijing Winter Games. She says US athletes will still compete, with the government's full support from back home.
