And 20,000 years after that, we started to move southwest. All this information came from a study of DNA, by looking the maternal lineage of more than 1,200 people in Namibia and South Africa

Scientists have long believed we came from the African region but Australian researchers believe they’ve now determined more accurately where all modern humans originated. A new report pin-points the exact place in an area south of the Zambezi river, encompassing parts of what is now Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
