Calls grow for Scotland to leave the United Kingdom

Scotland has been in a union with England since 1707 - but there are increasing calls by Scottish people for their country to leave the United Kingdom.


The ruling Scottish National Party in the Scottish Parliament looks set to be returned with a majority at the next election - and they want Scotland to secede. Seven years ago, a referendum saw Scotland stay in the UK - but it seems that people today are changing their minds.
