Sydney pubs are busy looking over new COVID safety plans involving vaccination certificate check-ins for a long-awaited so-called reopening next month. Some State Premiers consider the distribution of vaccines between the states to be unfair.

Sydney pub owner comments on the planned required proof of vaccination to enter the premises, saying it is simple - get vaccinated and you can enter once the doors are open again. Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the business sector can look forward to reopening in October when the state is expected to reach 70 per cent double-dose vaccination coverage. But with a surge in cases and hospitalisations forecast for October, many are questioning plans to reopen.  Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is questioning vaccine distribution across the country.  Mr Andrews says he accepts boosts of original doses were needed in Sydney, but says additional allocations have been sent without public announcements or communication.
