Eurovision Song Contest puts peace at its heart

The organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest have revealed that a performance underscoring the need for peace will be the highlight of the closing night.


Sixty years of the Eurovision Song contest have shown us many unexpected sights, from bread-baking grannies to puppets of Irish turkeys... but this year has taken on a more serious tone, thanks to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russia is not allowed to take part in this year's contest.
