Japanese and Chinese tourism in Finland has seen a dramatic rise.

The 'Haloo Helsinki' band has reached remarkable popularity; their songs were played 80,000 times on Finnish commercial radio last year - this translates to  an average of.80 times a day. The three top performers were Haloo Helsinki, in second place Jenny Vartiainen and third place Juha Tapio

A Japanese film has led to a huge increase in Chinese and Japanese tourists in Finland. The film tells a romantic story about a young Japanese couple who travel to Finland to see the Auroras and which has led to a great interest   in travel to Finland
