Nationals secure extra Cabinet spot in return for climate compliance

The spoils of the Coalition's climate deal are beginning to become clearer, with The Nationals securing another seat in Cabinet in return for their support. After years of politically deadly internal division, the Coalition has finally come to an agreed position on combating climate change.

The return of budget estimates hearings and a Coalition deal on a net zero by 2050 target have prompted some close questioning from the Opposition while the government avoids answering the opposition's questions.  What is now public, is that after decades of division the climate contest appears settled within the Nationals.
