There is discussion about abandoning daylight saving within the EU, possibly within a couple of years, the Finnish home affairs minister proposes moves to encourage more refugees to learn the Finnish language and get employment- currently about 90% depend on social benefits.  Finnish paper pulp manufacturers benefit from the reduction of plastic packaging and the increased demand for cardboard.  A new type of solar cell that generates power even during Winter has been developed at Aalto University
