The federal government has made clear  tennis players hoping to participate in the Australian Open will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to take part.

Queensland has reopened to flights from New Zealand's South Island.

Australia has reached a significant milestone, with 70% of people aged 16 and over fully vaccinated as a booster  rollout draws closer.

Queenslanders who are yet to receive a COVID-19 vaccine jab are being told to act quickly to minimise their risk of infection once state borders open.
