The business lobby in WA is backing the decision to put some of the state into lockdown. Having seen in Victoria how tough a sustained lockdown can be, a quick, really short lockdown is seen as the better alternative. In Victoria, Mr Andrews says that after 27 days of no locally acquired cases, it's time to increase the number of people allowed in workplaces from 50 per cent for the private sector and 25 per cent for the public sector to 75% for all.

COVID-19 testing clinics in Western Australia are now operating until 10 o'clock at night to cope with the demand triggered by the current lockdown. And in Victoria, workplaces can return to 75 per cent capacity from next Monday.
