The new Federal Government is formed the ministry having a strong female representation. Under Labor rules, the factions agree on the make-up of the frontbench, and the Prime Minister allocates which portfolios they hold. Mr Albanese has claimed victory in another seat beyond the 76-seat threshold for majority government. Counting continues for the remaining seat in doubt: Deakin in Victoria. While addressing his agenda for the year ahead, Mr Albanese announced the 47th federal parliament will open on July 26th.
