Some Ukrainian civilians pay the cost of border clashes

As Ukraine prepares for another Russian invasion, for millions in the east of the country, conflict has been a part of daily life for many years.

Civilians often pay the cost of clashes between the Ukrainian Military and Russian-backed separatists in communities located close to the frontlines.   Villagers in Luhansk province are fearful of a new war. The area is largely abandoned apart from a small group of people without means to flee the fighting who still live in the area.
