The environment ministers from eight Arctic countries met in Rovaniemi to discuss climate change, biodiversity and  ways of reducing pollution.

A seminar was held in Helsinki to discuss postal and online voting for expatriate Finns. Both methods still present problems, online voting is difficult to verify and the postal service is unreliable in may countries.

The League of Finnish Australian Societies and  the Finland Australia Business Council presented a public panel discussion at Parliament house. Finland Australia Business Council chair, Riku Laanti, said that the Business Council aims to promote the business relationship between the two countries in  the spirit of free trade.
