The United Kingdom's largest walk-in vaccination centre is now open, and thousands of jabs have been administered to people over 18. Meanwhile, Singapore announces plans to inoculate students over the age of 12, with the June holidays being a crucial time for vaccination.


Huge queues formed by  thousands of excited people at England's Twickenham Rugby Stadium.  The UK's largest walk-in vaccination centre was  open.  In a drive to fight off the variant first identified in India, COVID jabs are being offered to anyone over the age of 18, for one day only. Singapore  Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong says virus restrictions are working, and the ban on dining and social gathering limits will ease after 13 June.  Tighter controls had been in place since May.
