The president's office announces that former president Martti Ahtisaari is unwell with Altzheimer's and will no longer accept public appearances.

The Finnish government has accepted a new Corona strategy. Prime minister Sanna Marin says that the government wants to open the community. A vaccination program is key to the opening up.

Over half of the Finnish population has been vaccinated twice and a return to normal by November is considered to be possible.

A generational gap has opened up in Finland. The young people do not trust their future when observing the lack of action to stop climate change
