America's ABC News is reporting that US astronaut Mark Vande Hei’s plan to land in Kazakhstan along with two Russian cosmonauts using a Russian spacecraft could be in jeopardy based on hostile comments from the head of Russia’s Space Agency. Dmitry Rogozin, who heads Roscosmos and is a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, threatened to leave Mr Vande Hei behind and detach the Russian segment of the space station. Russian forces shelled the maternity hospitai in Mariupol causing extensive damage to an obvious civilian target.

As peace talks stall for a fourth day between Russia and Ukraine, NASA says there is no tension aboard the international space station between Russian and American astronauts. This comes after a Ukrainian woman and her newborn died days after being seriously injured in the Mariupol maternity hospital shelling, which caused outrage on both sides of the conflict.
