US plans completion of Afghan evacuation by August 30

World leaders are uniting to complete the evacuation mission in Afghanistan to prevent a humanitarian crisis and to return citizens home.


The US says it plans to have its operation completed by August 31st and it is in regular talks with the Taliban which has taken over Afghanistan.   As evacuations continue, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan says precautions are being taken against any potential terrorist attack at the airport.
