After lunch both Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, in response to pointed questions from the press, denied that Russia had meddled in the 2016 presidential election.  Seemingly Vladimir Putin made a very favourable impression on Donald Trump during the private meeting, because later Mr Trump commented that after the relationship between the US and Russia had been at an all time low, everything had changed..... many observers saw it differently; no concrete agreement had been reached and the remarkable improvement in the relationship had happened entirely on Russia's terms....
