After nearly 400 days, Australians and New Zealanders can travel freely across the ditch as the trans Tasman bubble officially opened.


Tourism operators say the take up of flights has been increasing since the bubble was announced, but it will take some time to reach regular tourism numbers. Initially travellers faced an inflated airline fare when the travel bubble was first announced, but now that flights have resumed, prices are falling.
