The economic and societal shutdowns forced by the coronavirus may create an opportunity to adjust, and re-make the world in a way that would make it more friendly to its natural environment.

An unusual effect of the shutdown of much of the normal human world in recent weeks has been something of a re-emergence of the natural world.  Pollution levels are down. Inconveniences like traffic jams are basically non-existent.   It’s something of a welcome side effect of a terrible time.  People all over the world have started thinking about how they can keep at least some of this, as the world tries to get past COVID-19, and back to normal.
