A Touch of France at Subsonic Festival

Three French electro DJs: Rodriguez Jr, AlexKid and Pepperpot, brought the French Touch to the Australian bush at the 2017 Subsonic Music Festival.

Three French electro DJ came to represent France at Monkerai in rural New South Wales at the Subsonic music festival in Australia. They tell us about their experience, the differences between the two countries when it comes to festivals and parties, and why Australia is such an appealing country.

The Subsonic festival is an electronic music festival, lost in the bush, 4 hours drive north of Sydney. It started nine years ago and now welcomes around 175 DJ and thousands of revelers each year.

Rodriguez Jr. agrees the Australian electro scene is a bit more open-minded and fresh. AlexKid says he thinks in France the festival culture is different. Pepperpot meanwhile would compare the Australian atmosphere as Woodstock.
