Since early February, it is on social networks, and especially on Whatsapp that a message from Air France circulates; two free tickets to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the French company.

The crooks offer these so-called tickets to attract the person to click on the link and enter their personal and especially banking details. This is a technique called Phishing. The victims are already numerous and the information was relayed by Zataz, a Cyber Security company.

The second "a" of Air France in the URL "which appears like this: ạ This symbol is actually what is called in computer a" UTF8 character "." and is used in the Vietnamese alphabet.

"This type of scam is called typosquatting, which means using a letter graphically close to another to make you think you're on an official site.

Air France has recommended its customers to be vigilant. (in French)
