Wednesday, January 2, a group of forty paragliders prepare to take off when one of them, filmed by his wife is violently carried away by a whirlwind of sand. The scene is over Mount Borah, near the city of Manilla, New South Wales.

This phenomenon called "Dust devil", is formed when the earth is hot and the air dry and unstable.

On the the video, we can see the group adjusting their equipment. Then the paratentist is propelled and performs several laps in the air. His wife screams, but after a few minutes he manages to fly "quietly". The camera is then hit by the whirlwind of sand.

"Is he all right?" "He's fine," can be heard in the video. "I never want to paraglide again!" his wife said, panicked.

The paragliding club, reported to the ABC that the man is safe.
