Rare white whale calf filmed by a drone in Western Australia

Scientists captured images of a white whale calf, which is very rare, in Western Australia.

The baby and the mom are southern right whales. They usually are grey like the mom. About 5% of the babies are born white and turn grey when they get older.

The drones allow the scientists to study the whales without disturbing them. The number of southern right whales is limited, there are about 3000 of them in Australian waters.
