On Friday, April 6, around 7 am, seven French men aged 23, 24, 26, 27, 28 and 44 years old and a 25-year-old Thai woman were arrested in Darlinghurst, Haymarket and Tamarama neighbourhoods in Sydney for drug trafficking The police found about one kilogram of various drugs and just over $235,000.
According to the Daily Mail, the youngest in the group, Florian Chamon, 23, is accused of running the drug ring. He allegedly ran all the traffic operations for months, accumulating $ 168,000 to become the owner of a creperie in which he worked part-time.


Strike Force Omrazi was set up last November by the NSW police. Based in Surry Hills, this unit dismantles the distribution networks of Ketamine, MDMA, LSD and Cannabis. The unit force investigated the young traffickers for five months.

The other four Frenchmen, Florian Chamon, 23, Mourad Hannachi, 44, Damien Masset, 24, and Kevin Bianchi, 26, all appeared in the local court in Parramatta on Saturday, April 7, accused of illegal sale of narcotics. A bail was refused. On Thursday, the 23-year-old is expected to negotiate bail on the judges at the Sydney Central Local Court.
