Uber will hike its fares in Australia next week

If you use the taxi service UberX, be aware that the fares will rise in three Australian cities on 9 June.

Uber has annonced higher fares starting next month, to support their operational costs.

In Sydney, the minimum amount you pay for a trip will go from $8 to $9. In Melbourne and in Brisbane, it will jump from $6,50 to $7.

It includes a 55 cents booking fees that will go to Uber.

Uber drivers generally make 80% of the price of a ride.
