French speakers in Australia stand together. They have Alliances françaises, associations and many Facebook groups.
As such, a few neighbourhoods around the country are especially popular with the French. Let's have a look.
New South Wales
The most popular suburb is Maroubra, followed by Randwick. It's certainly because of the French Lycée Condorcet. But the beaches are not bad either.

Victoria
In Victoria, you might be surprised to learn that the most popular are for French speakers is Hampton Park. Once again, it's probably because of Haileybury School and its French program. Hampton Park is followed by the CBD, South Yarra and St Kilda. In the eternal battle between the North and the South, it seems like the French have pick the South.

In other states, French speakers live in neighbourhoods close to big centers like Adelaide, Perth, Sandy Bay (Hobart) and Darwin.
Our conclusion? French speakers in Australia love to live close to French schools, beautiful beaches and big cities.
