Laut aktuellem Henley Passport Index 2018 hat Deutschland seine Spitzenposition sogar noch ausgebaut. In 177 Länder können Deutsche ungehindert einreisen, eines mehr als im Jahr 2017.
Auf Rang zwei folgt Singapur (176 Länder).
Dahinter folgen gleich acht Länder mit 175.
Den vierten Platz teilen sich unter anderem Österreich und die Schweiz mit 174 Ländern.
Australien folgt auf Rang sieben mit 171 Ländern.
Am Ende der Skala liegen Pakistan, Syrien, der Irak und Afghanistan. Deren Bürger können in nur 30 oder weniger Länder ohne Visum einreisen.
