Māori has been one of New Zealand's official languages for more than 30 years. So far, however, only a few people have been able to communicate in the indigenous language. But that should change now: From 2025 all schools are set to teach Māori. Barbara Barkhausen took a closer look at the new initiatives with our neighbors.
