114 candles and counting for a Greek grandmother

A Greek grandmother from Krestena of Ilia is one of the world's oldest living women.

Katerina Karnarou, she turned 114 recently and according to the newspaper "Patris", has all the official documents (AMKA, ID number etc), as well as the electronic records certifying that she was born on July 25, 1905.

Mrs Kapernarou is almost 2.5 years younger than the oldest woman in the world.

This title belongs to the Japanese, Kane Tanaka, who was born on January 2, 1903 and lives in the village of Kazuki on the south Island of Kyushu.
