The screening presented a selection of imaginative films from Greek Students from local primary and secondary with a cinema full of participants and their families eager to see their work on the big screen.
The topic for this year's competition was «Μονάχα τα παιδιά ξέρουν τι ζητάνε», and students proved to be very creative with their interpretations once again.
Taking out first place for the Primary School category was the Clemton Park Primary School for their film «Η Αναζήτηση» (The Search), followed by Greek Community of Melbourne’s Language and Culture Schools – Malvern Campus for «Ανοιξε την πόρτα» (Open the Door) and Greek Community of Melbourne’s Language and Culture Schools – Malvern Campus for «Το γράμμα» (The Letter).
In the Secondary School category the Greek Community of Melbourne’s Language and Culture Schools – Alphington Campus took out first place with «Κάνε μία ευχή» (Make a Wish). Second place was awarded to the Northcote High School for «Ο Μικρός Πρίγκιπας» (The Little Prince) and third place to the Oakleigh Grammar for «Οι θησαυροί της καρδιάς» (Treasures of the Heart).
