A car hit and killed three-year-old girl outside childcare centre in Melbourne

A three-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car outside a Melbourne childcare centre.

The young girl was struck in the car park on McDonalds Road in Epping yesterday evening.

Floral tributes and soft toys have been left at a childcare centre car park.

"We certainly urge anybody who's around children to be very careful and mindful that terrible accidents such as these can occur if everyone's not paying full attention to what they're doing," Detective Sergeant Daryll Out said.
